CastHub for Claude

How to connect Claude to CastHub over OAuth, what you can ask Claude to do, and which actions Claude confirms with you before running.

Connect Claude to CastHub to manage your digital signage presentations, devices, schedules, and alerts in natural language.

What it is

CastHub is a digital signage platform for running content on physical displays in schools, offices, churches, gyms, manufacturing floors, and retail spaces. This connector lets Claude operate your CastHub account directly. You can create and edit presentations, organize devices into groups, schedule content, and trigger emergency alerts without leaving the chat.

Prerequisites

An active CastHub account. The connector does not create accounts. Sign up first at https://dashboard.cast-hub.com/register-user.

The connector works with any CastHub plan, including the free tier. It adds no separate paywall. Feature access matches your existing account.

You can sign in with your CastHub email and password, Google, or Microsoft account.

How to connect

  1. In Claude, go to Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector.
  2. Enter the connector URL: https://webapi.cast-hub.com/mcp
  3. Click Connect. You will be redirected to a CastHub sign-in page.
  4. Sign in with your CastHub credentials, or with Google or Microsoft.
  5. Approve access. You are connected.

No API key is required. Authentication uses OAuth 2.0 with PKCE and dynamic client registration.

What you can do

Presentations

Example prompts:

“List my presentations.”

“Show the slides in presentation 42.”

“Create a presentation called Lobby Loop with a welcome web page and our promo image.”

“Update presentation 42’s background to black.”

“Delete presentation 42.”

Internal images and videos can be uploaded and used as slides through a guided register, upload, and acknowledge flow.

Preview

After creating a presentation, Claude returns a preview URL you can open in a browser to see it running on a temporary preview device.

Devices and groups

Example prompts:

“Show all my devices.”

“Rename device 5 to Entrance.”

“Move device 12 to the Lobby group.”

“Create a device group called Cafeteria.”

“Assign presentation 42 to the Lobby group.”

Scheduling

Example prompts:

“Assign the weekday schedule to the Lobby group.”

“Show my weekly schedule.”

“Remove the schedule from the Cafeteria group.”

Alerts

Example prompts:

“Start a text alert on all groups: Building closing in 15 minutes.”

“Stop all alerts.”

“Set the fire drill presentation as the alert for the warehouse group.”

Device commands

Example prompts:

“Reboot the Entrance display.”

“Turn the Lobby screen off.”

Disruptive commands prompt Claude to confirm before running.

Permissions and safety

Read-only tools that list or view devices, presentations, schedules, and dashboard data run freely. Write actions such as create and update are marked explicitly. Destructive actions such as delete, alerts, and reboots are marked so Claude requests your confirmation before running them.
