Themes and presentation design
Each presentation has a few design controls that affect the look of slides where CastHub renders text on top of an image, video, or web page. The controls are in the presentation editor under Theme.
Theme 1 and Theme 2
Two preset themes are available. They differ in their default background, text color, and accent treatment. Pick the theme that matches your screen environment: Theme 1 for lighter, brighter spaces; Theme 2 for darker, higher-contrast environments. You can switch between them at any time and the change applies to all slides in the presentation.
Primary text and Secondary text
Primary text is the main message on a slide; Secondary text is a supporting line below it. Setting both gives a slide a clear hierarchy: a headline followed by a subline. Leave Secondary text blank for slides that should be a single line.
Background color
The presentation-level background color is used on slides that do not provide their own background image or video. It also fills any letterboxing area when an image’s aspect ratio does not match the screen.
Slide duration
The default slide duration applies to image and web page slides. Video slides play for their natural length unless overridden. Individual slides can override the presentation default if a particular slide should be shown longer or shorter than the rest.
Tips
Test on the actual target screen before settling on a theme. The same color and contrast can read very differently on a 65-inch wall-mounted display under fluorescent lighting versus a 32-inch monitor in an office.
