For families
CastHub at Home: Family Photos and Calendar on Every TV
Everyone in the family adds from their own phone, and every TV in every home shows the album you choose. $299 a year or $35 a month for up to 6 TVs.

CastHub at Home puts one family’s photos, short clips, documents and shared calendar on the TVs in your homes: your house, a grandparent’s house, the lake house. Everyone in the family adds from their own phone. Each TV shows one album, and you can see from anywhere that Grandma’s TV is on and what it is showing. It costs $299 a year or $35 a month, for up to 6 TVs, any number of homes and any number of people, after a 14-day trial with a card on file and nothing charged until the trial ends.
It is not a photo frame. A frame is one small screen in one room with one person uploading to it. CastHub at Home is the family’s screens as one network: several homes, several people contributing, the same album and the same calendar on every TV that should have them, and one person able to fix any of it from the sofa.
What a family gets
Everyone adds, from their own phone
A photo taken at the match reaches the kitchen TV and Grandma’s den before the drive home. Every member of the family is invited by email, opens the app on their own phone and adds to any album. Nobody collects photos and uploads them for everyone else.
Several homes, one family
A home in the app is a place with TVs in it. Your house, your parents’ house, a holiday home. The Family tab lists each home with its TVs, whether each one is on, and what it is showing. Any TV in any home can show any of the family’s albums.
Photos, and the calendar, and the chore chart
An album holds photos and clips from the phone, pages of a PDF or PowerPoint (a chore chart, the week’s meals, a schedule made in Canva), and the family calendar from Google, Apple or Outlook. The TV plays the album top to bottom and repeats.
Managed from afar
Rename a TV, change what it shows, set quiet hours so it goes dark at night, restart it when it sulks, or ask for a picture of what it is showing right now, all from your phone in another city. The on, off, quiet hours and picture parts need an Amazon Signage Stick; the rest works on any supported TV.
How it works, in three steps
1. Put the CastHub app on the TV
Install the CastHub app from the TV’s app store, or plug an Amazon Signage Stick into the TV’s HDMI port. The TV shows a six-digit code. Which TVs and players work lists every platform and what each one can do.
2. Add the TV in the app on your phone
Open CastHub at Home on your phone, tap Add a TV in the Family tab, type the code, give the TV a name and choose which home it is in. That is the whole pairing.
3. Make an album and the TV follows
Add photos from your phone’s library, a clip, a document or the calendar. Choose which TVs show the album. Invite the family from the People tab so they can add too. The setup guide walks through each screen.

The Family tab: every home, every TV, what each one shows.

Albums, and which TVs play them.

Cass: ask in plain words, get a straight answer, tap Do it for changes.
Which TVs it works on
CastHub at Home runs on the TVs you already own: Amazon Fire TV and the Amazon Signage Stick, Apple TV, Android TV and Google TV, Roku, and the Samsung and LG TVs that carry the CastHub app, plus any computer or tablet through the web player. The Signage Stick is the one to buy if you are choosing, because it is the only player the app can switch on and off, give quiet hours, and ask for a picture of the screen. See the full table, including the Samsung and Roku limits.
Cass does the fiddly parts
Cass is the assistant inside the app. Ask in plain words: put our calendar on the kitchen TV, turn the porch TV off at night, make a countdown to Eli’s birthday, what is on Grandma’s TV. Cass shows you the change before anything happens; you tap Do it or Not now. Cass never deletes anything and never looks at your photos. What Cass can and cannot do.
What it costs
CastHub at Home is $299 a year or $35 a month, for up to 6 TVs, any number of homes and any number of people, after a 14-day trial with a card on file and nothing charged until the trial ends. One plan, nothing to add on. Pricing, the trial, and billing questions.
Who it is for
Families. A household with grandparents in another town, parents who want the kids’ photos on the big screen instead of lost in a phone, a family with a second home that should feel lived in. CastHub at Home is for personal use; a shop, an office, a school or any other organisation needs CastHub for business, which is the same screens platform with the features an organisation needs.
Was Digital Frame TV
CastHub at Home replaces Digital Frame TV. Subscribers keep everything and get the new app at no extra cost. What changed, and how to sign in.
Frequently asked questions
What is CastHub at Home?
CastHub at Home is a subscription that shows one family’s photos, short clips, documents and shared calendar on the TVs in the family’s homes. Everyone in the family adds from their own phone, each TV shows one album, and the person who set it up can see from anywhere whether a TV is on and what it is showing. It costs $299 a year or $35 a month for up to 6 TVs.
Which TVs does it work on?
Any TV with the CastHub app: Amazon Fire TV and the Amazon Signage Stick, Apple TV, Android TV and Google TV, Roku, and the Samsung and LG TVs that carry the app. A Signage Stick plugged into any TV’s HDMI port is the most capable choice, because it is the only one the app can switch on and off, give quiet hours, and ask for a picture of what the TV is showing. A computer or tablet can also act as a screen through the web player.
Do I need to buy a frame or any hardware?
No. CastHub at Home runs on TVs you already own. If a TV has no app store, or you want the app to switch it on and off at set times, an Amazon Signage Stick (about $100) plugs into its HDMI port and comes with the CastHub app already on it.
How do grandparents or relatives add photos?
They are invited by email from the People tab and add photos from their own phone through the same app. Everyone in the family can add to any album. The person who created the family is the owner and holds the plan; everyone else is a contributor.
Does it show our family calendar?
Yes. CastHub at Home shows the calendar the family already keeps in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook, from the calendar’s iCal link, as a week, the next three days or a month, in large type. It does not create or edit events. The TV reads the calendar again about every 15 minutes. A calendar does not show on a Samsung TV or a Roku.
Is there a free trial?
The trial lasts 14 days and needs a card on file. Nothing is charged until the trial ends, and cancelling during the trial means no charge at all.
Is CastHub at Home the same as Digital Frame TV?
CastHub at Home replaces Digital Frame TV. Digital Frame TV subscribers get CastHub at Home at no extra cost and sign in to the new app with the email they already use. Everything Digital Frame TV did, the new app does, plus several homes under one family, people adding from their own phones, the calendar, documents, clips and Cass, the assistant in the app.
